We are seeking a Finance Senior Associate with experience in project finance modeling, financial analysis, and commercial structuring for large-scale energy infrastructure projects. This role is focused primarily on analyzing a transmission development portfolio, including project-level economics, valuation, and capital strategy.

Create and maintain project financial models, including calculating project valuations and returns, pricing a variety of revenue structures, and associated sensitivity analysesBuild and update the corporate financial model, including projections and modeling various financing and commercial arrangementsProvide input and work with cross-functional teams to compile project-level budgetingDevelop and manage consolidated budgeting projections on a corporate level to support strategic capital planningConduct deep due diligence for potential acquisitions, including thorough market analyses, transaction structuring, and valuation analysesProvide financial support to commercial contract negotiationsPrepare investment presentations and memos regarding new investment opportunities, with the opportunity to participate in management discussions around potential investments and strategic imperativesMonitor and analyze market trends, regulatory developments, and industry dynamics to identify potential opportunities and risksCollaborate with internal and external cross-functional team members (e.g., project developers, market and commercial analytics, land, engineering, environmental, interconnection, accounting, legal, etc.)
Job Details
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related degree3-5+ years of experience with a minimum 3+ years prior work experience in a related financial, energy, investment banking, and/or private investment role or relevant experience across power and utilities investment banking or infrastructure private equity, with strong project finance modeling skillsVery strong quantitative skills and deep modeling experienceA passion for collaborative, team-based work with a hands-on entrepreneurial approach to investing and business growthStrong ambition to learn the cutting edge of the power industry and transmission developmentExcitement to understand, model, and evaluate a variety of commercial and financial structures, including novel structures to enable the company’s innovative transmission projectsStrong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships and work with professionals around the organizationExceptional organizational skills, including the ability to multitask efficiently with constant regard for accuracy and attention to detailDetail-oriented work style with an ability to work in a high-pressure environment without sacrificing qualityStrong work ethic, persistence, and an ability to quickly grasp and understand new concepts, including financial and legal structuresExcellent written and oral communication abilitiesProficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint)Positive, professional, and energetic team-oriented attitude
