Financial Accounting Manager

Job Title: Financial Accounting Manager Employment Type: Direct Hire, Exempt Work Schedule: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday Some flexibility: Could work 7:30am – 4:30pm, Monday – FridayPossible Hybrid once trained: 3 days in office / 2 days remote System One is seeking a Financial Accounting Manager to provide leadership and hands-on support in managing consolidations and financial accounting for the Enterprise. The primary focus of this role is to deliver quality and timely accounting services across all affiliated companies. This is a process-focused, individual contributor role—no direct team management. The ideal candidate is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and actively contributing to accounting processes. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform multi-entity consolidations, including eliminations.
• Prepare full financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Statement of Cash Flows).
• Draft, post, and reconcile journal entries; manage accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and trial balances.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting (internal and external).
• Contribute to footnote preparation for SEC reporting.
• Perform account and bank reconciliations; conduct financial analysis.
• Collaborate with operations to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• CPA
• 5+ years of progressive corporate accounting experience in a for-profit environment.
• Hands-on consolidation experience across multiple entities.
• Proven ability to prepare complete financial statements.
• Experience posting journal entries (not review-only).
• Knowledge of SEC reporting and footnote preparation.
• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.) and proficiency in Word.
• Experience reviewing, supporting, or working with financial statement footnotes as part of GAAP-compliant financial reporting.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to work independently.
