Job Description

What You'll Do:

The Financial Analyst supports the Region Presidents and Finance Managers and ensures processes are in place to achieve financial goals.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:

Perform post-acquisition project reviews that compare actual results with original underwriting to identify trends or gaps and areas of improvement for future deals.
Source data and prepare various consolidated weekly/monthly reports of regional performance across the company.
Partner with the Division Management Team to ensure accurate commission and bonus forecasting and reporting.
Assist in the preparation of presentations to the Management Team.
Develop, analyze, and interpret statistical and accounting information to appraise operating results in profitability and performance against budget.
Prepare ad-hoc financial reports by collecting, sourcing, formatting, analyzing, and explaining information.
Track and pay property tax bills.
Track and accurately code all incoming wire deposits and earnest money refunds.
Ensure understanding and compliance with financial and accounting policies, internal control procedures, and practices.
Provide analytical support to management to improve homebuilding operations and identify cost savings opportunities.
Perform other duties as needed or assigned.

What You Have:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Solid understanding of GAAP, cost accounting, and job costing.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Proficient in various other software and accounting systems used in the real estate industry.

Your Education and Experience:

A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent hands-on experience in homebuilding construction.
At least 2 years of progressive experience in finance, financial planning, and analysis or accounting.
