Position Summary:

• Full time salaried position

• Onsite based out of our Greenville, NC location

The Financial Analyst II supports commercial product costing and inventory, which involves analyzing financial data to determine the cost of business products and services. The role provides financial business partnering support to Production, Commercial Operations, Contract Services, and Supply Chain groups, as well as the broader Finance and Accounting team.

Catalent's Greenville, N.C. facility specializes in end-to-end turn-key solutions for oral solid dosage forms, including integrated formulation development, analytical services, commercial manufacturing, and packaging. This state-of-the-art facility has had over $100M of investments in recent years and features fit-for-scale capacity with potent handling capabilities, ideal for orphan or targeted drug development.

The Role:

• Calculate, review and analyze direct hours, overhead costs and allocations, production rates, raw material costs and manufacturing process changes

• Accumulate and apply overhead costs as required by generally accepted accounting principles

• Analyze actual production expenses and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs

• Lead in developing and verifying data relevant to cost accounting and margin analysis

• Perform rate calculations to compare actual cost to standards and identify reasons for variances

• Establish and update standard costs for all commercial products

• Review and report variances between standard and actual costs

• Partner with product management team to develop, review, and maintain bill of materials and routings

• Lead in development of cost profiles for quotes and new product launches

• Other duties as assigned

The Candidate:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a minimum of three years of experience owning and executing core financial processes within a complex business environment, required

• Demonstrated experience in manufacturing accounting, supply chain finance, or equivalent, with clear accountability for end-to-end financial workflows, analysis, and outcomes

• Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), with the ability to apply standards to drive compliant, repeatable, and scalable financial processes

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (financial modeling, analysis, automation) and PowerPoint, with the ability to develop clear, executive-ready financial narratives and recommendations

• Experience with SAP and OneStream strongly preferred, including using these systems to drive accuracy, standardization, and continuous improvement in financial reporting and planning processes

• Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds
