Financial Data Entry Specialist

Pay Rate: $20/hrLocation: Sioux Falls, SD – 100% OnsiteJob Type: Contract – 3 months with potential for extension

Position Summary

We are seeking a Financial Data Entry Specialist to support a financial operations team with data entry, record updates, and customer request processing. This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working with data, and able to learn new systems quickly.

An extensive accounting background is not required. Candidates with experience in data entry, administrative support, customer service, banking, or general office environments are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter and update financial and customer information in internal systems.
  • Perform high-volume data entry and record maintenance.
  • Review and process customer requests accurately.
  • Support updates related to unclaimed property records.
  • Review information for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation.
  • Assist with basic financial operations and administrative tasks.
  • Work within multiple systems to complete daily assignments.
  • Meet established deadlines while maintaining accuracy.

Required Qualifications

  • 6 months–1+ year of experience in data entry, administrative support, customer service, office support, or a similar environment.
  • Basic Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Comfortable working with numbers and financial information.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to learn and navigate multiple computer systems.
  • Comfortable performing high-volume and repetitive data entry.
  • Ability to work 100% onsite in Sioux Falls, SD.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in banking, financial services, accounting support, or data processing.
  • Experience working in a high-volume processing environment.
  • Strong typing and computer skills.
  • Experience reviewing customer records, financial information, or documentation.
