| Description | Torgeson Electric Company is currently seeking individuals looking to join the fire alarm and special systems controls industry for commercial projects. |
| Scope of Work | Fire Alarm/Special Systems Technicians are able to install a fully functioning Fire Alarm and/or HVAC Controls System. Some traveling required to job sites in northeast Kansas. |
| Pay | Based on experience. $1500 signing bonus. |
| Hours | 40 or more per week |
| Transportation | Travel allowance provided, if required |
| Lodging | Provided if required |
| Req. Experience | Experience desired but not required |

| Other Reqs | - Ability to effectively Communicate- Follow safety policies and procedures at all times.- PPE required for all duties. - Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings |
| Duties & Tasks | -You will work with one of our fire alarm/HVAC controls foreman and receive on the job training -Tasks would include running conduit, wire/cable installation, device installation, troubleshooting, and system testing -OSHA 10 required (reimbursement available upon completion) -Fill out daily pre-job safety plan for the work that will be performed Basic electrical knowledge preferred but not required -If seeking a foreman position, must have 3+ years of experience, have worked with multiple system brands and have a minimum NICET level 2 certification for fire alarm -Complete full special systems installation from blueprints, schematics and/or technical drawings to AHJ acceptance testing -Install special systems in accordance with NEC, NFPA, and other applicable codes and standards |
