State Systems, Inc.North Little Rock, AR 72118Division: Low Voltage, North Little Rock, ArkansasPosition: Fire Alarm TechnicianWe are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. The Fire Alarm Technician should be a self-motivated, customer service-oriented individual with strong communication skills and working knowledge of Fire & Life Safety systems.What You'll Do:
- Installation, programming and service of fire alarm systems.
- Complete fire alarm installation and/ or service projects.
- Ensure all work is performed to NFPA 72 and company standards with quality installations, service, and inspections.
- Must be able to walk and climb ladders to safely test fire alarm systems such as smoke detectors, heat detectors and pull stations as needed.
- Complete fire alarm installation/ programming projects as efficiently as possible and communicate issues to the fire alarm projects admin team in a timely manner.
- Work within a team of fire alarm technicians and professionals to collaborate, problem solve, and learn in a fast-paced environment. Work independently when necessary to self-manage and complete jobs within the allotted time.
- Complete jobs and daily tasks using company software.
- Work in compliance with the company safety policies and procedures to always ensure safety of self and others.
- Work with the managers, supervisors, and office staff to ensure a seamless process from scheduling to billing. Strong communication and accurate report completion are a must.
- Service and provide preventive maintenance on a variety of low voltage systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using a variety of testing devices.
- Ensure compliance with electrical and fire safety codes.
- Properly maintain and take care of equipment.
- Must be in good physical condition with no limitations.
- Must be willing to work outdoors in inclement weather.
- Must be able to carry 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Must be able to push greater than 100 pounds as needed.
- Must be able to pull greater than 100 pounds as needed.
- Must be able to safely climb a ladder and reach a height of at least 12 - 24 ft.
