Job Description
A well-established fire protection company is seeking an experiencedFire Sprinkler & Backflow Inspector to support commercial, industrial, and institutional customers throughout the region.
This position offers a combination of sprinkler inspections, backflow testing, customer interaction, and field-based problem solving. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, safety-conscious, and comfortable working independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Qualifications:
- Certification: ActiveIdaho Backflow Assembly Tester (BAT) certification
- Experience: 2+ years of fire sprinkler or backflow inspection experience
- NICET II or higher (Inspection & Testing of Water-Based Systems)
- NFPACertified Fire Inspector I (CFI-I) preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES & JOB DETAIL:
- Inspect, test, and certify backflow prevention assemblies
- Verify proper operation of valves, sprinkler heads, and other system components
- Maintain compliance with applicable codes, standards and safety requirements
- Communicate findings and note deficiencies to customers and internal team
- Travel within the service area with occasional overnights
