SummaryThe First Officer is the second in command and performs the duties as described below and as directed by the Captain. We are searching for pilots who are committed to our profession and seeking a long-term career at Allegiant.   • Must meet all the following requirements:FAA Commercial multi-engine land certificate, instrument rating, and "English Proficient."
  •   ATP-CTP course completion certificate and current ATM-written completion.All Aeronautical experience required for issuance of an FAA ATP or R-ATP Certificate in accordance with 14 CFR §§ 61.153, 61.159, & 61.160.
  •   FAA First Class Medical Certificate with First Class privileges.FCC Radiotelephone License.
  •   All required documentation required for issuance of ATP or R-ATP Certificate (Airplane Commercial Applicants).

    Valid/Unexpired Driver's License: Yes

    Minimum Total Time Experience (per 14 CFR §§ 61.159 and 61.160):1,500 total flight hours.
  •   1,250 total flight hours (if eligible).1,000 total flight hours (if eligible).
  •   750 total flight hours (if eligible).Minimum Aeronautical Experience (Note: All hours listed below are actual flight hours, no simulator time or night landing credit recognized):500 hours of fixed-wing flight time.
  •   200 hours of cross-country flight time.100 hours of night flight time.
  •   25 hours of multi-engine land flight time.75 hours of instrument flight time (can be a combination of actual and simulated instrument conditions).
  •   250 hours of flight time in an airplane as pilot in command (PIC).100 hours of cross-country flight time as PIC.
  •   25 hours of night flight time as PIC.Note: Multi-engine flight time accrued under an approved Allegiant training program may be used towards the required aeronautical experience for an ATP Certificate (up to 25 hours).
  •   All Aeronautical Experience must be logged in accordance with 14 § CFR 61.51. Military flight records may be used as additional evidence of meeting aeronautical experience requirements.Allegiant does not accept any conversion of flight hours, such as applying a 1.3 conversion factor for rotorcraft time.
  •   Ability to read, write, and speak English in order to receive and understand instructions, directives, and ensure safety, as well as the ability to interact with customers, is a requirement of the job.At least 21 years of age.
  •   Basic computer skills.Preferred RequirementsFAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) multi-engine land certificate (restricted or unrestricted).
  •   3,000 total flight hours.1,000 hours turbine under FAA Part 121.
  •   Bachelor's degree.500 hours last 12 months.Job Duties
  •   Each crewmember's first responsibility is the safety of passengers, other crew members, and the aircraft.Familiar with the duties and responsibilities of the Captain.
  •   Bring to the Captain’s attention any information regarding the safety of flight which the Captain may not have considered.Bring to the Captain’s attention any deviation from standard operating procedures.
  •   Familiar with weather, payload, fuel, and other factors which apply to the flight.Completes necessary avionics, flight instrument, systems, and fuel quantity checks.
  •   Reports mechanical discrepancies to the Captain.Prepares the load manifest, including weight and balance computations, and confirms, along with the Captain, that the aircraft is properly loaded and within center of gravity and performance limits for takeoff.
  •   Operates the aircraft or assists the Captain as directed.Verifies that each checklist is properly completed.
  •   Monitors ATC clearances and ensures that the Captain understands clearances accepted from ATC.Assists in securing the aircraft, when necessary, at termination of the flight.
  •   All pilots must verify their flight time using logbooks.Model Allegiant’s customer service standards in personal actions and when providing leadership direction.•  Other duties as assigned.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the role.Pilot - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a plane equipment (i.e. flight deck computers, plane doors, emergency equipment, etc.). May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 100 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to extreme noise (i.e. airport with planes, vehicles, and other machinery), temperature, wind, and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Travel is a requirement of the role.
