JOB SUMMARYResponsible for administrative assistance in all programmatic areas for Older Adult Center (OAC) participants. ABOUT YOUExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work with diverse populations and to handle complex situations with sensitivity and professionalismProficiency in using computer software and databases to maintain client records and generate reportsWHAT YOU’LL DO Strong customer service and communication skills Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to stand, walk, and perform light physical tasks during shifts CPR/AED certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:Previous experience in fitness, wellness, customer service or front desk roles SALARYPart time – 20 hours BENEFITS (for full time employees)The JCC of Staten Island is committed to keeping you and your family healthy and happy through a comprehensive benefits program. - Promote and support fitness classes, meal programs and special events as needed
- Responsible for all collection of attendance sheets and processing of CLLD suggested contribution
- Assist with promoting and implementation of all department programs (including education and art programs)
- Make flyers for upcoming programs
- Data entry into DFTA computer software program (Vive).
- Responsible for compliance to DFTA standards, including unit mandates.
- Updating client profiles as needed.
- All other projects assigned by Supervisor.
