Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
We’re looking for an experienced Group Fitness Coach with a background in strength and conditioning, HIIT, or Functional Fitness Group Classes style programming who can lead engaging, well-structured group workouts that challenge and inspire.
The ideal coach knows how to program with intention by balancing intensity, strength work, and recovery across a full week of training while keeping climbers’ needs in mind. You understand how to coach a class as a team, not as individuals training side by side, and can create an environment that’s focused, inclusive, and fun.
In addition to leading group classes, there is a growing demand and strong opportunity for 1-on-1 personal training. Coaches who can build lasting client relationships and deliver individualized programming will find significant potential to expand their impact and income within our community.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and coach group fitness classes that emphasize strength, conditioning, and functional movement
Program balanced, progressive training that supports both climbers who lift and lifters who climb
Deliver high quality coaching with clear cues, purposeful flow, and strong energy throughout class
Provide movement options and modifications to meet a variety of ability levels
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe training environment
Collaborate with the Fitness Program Manager and other coaches to align class structure, programming strategy, and long term goals
Offer personalized training and guidance for members seeking 1-on-1 sessions to support their goals
REQUIREMENTS
Nationally recognized Group Fitness or Personal Training certification
Minimum 1 or more years of experience coaching group fitness classes (100 or more teaching hours preferred)
Proven ability to program progressive workouts across a training week
Strong background in strength and conditioning and Functional Fitness style group classes
Excellent communication and class management skills
Enthusiasm for working in a climbing and fitness hybrid environment
Additional consideration given to candidates with Olympic Lifting certifications or experience, as well as those with a background in Strongman training and coaching
