Job Description
Fitter/Fabricator – 1st Shift
Location: Brookfield, WISchedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PMPay: $26 – $32/hour (Based on experience)
Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fitter/Fabricator to join our team on 1st shift. In this role, you’ll be responsible for reading blueprints, fitting components, and performing MIG welding to assemble high-quality products. This is a great opportunity for individuals who take pride in precision fabrication and enjoy working in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine welding and fabrication requirements
- Lay out, align, and fit components according to specifications, using blueprints, BOMs, and verbal instructions
- Check parts for accuracy, fit, and clearance
- Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld components in preparation for final MIG welding
- Select appropriate tools and plan assembly layout for welding tasks
- Set up welding machines based on project requirements
- Use a variety of hand and power tools as needed
- Perform visual inspections and provide feedback on quality to prevent defects
- Maintain a clean and organized work area; return tools and equipment after use
- Assist with tasks in other departments as needed to support workflow
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in fitting/fabrication and MIG welding
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, BOMs, and technical drawings
- Skilled in using various hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
