Fitter WelderPay:$25.00–$28.00 per hour(Based on Experience)Location:Tulsa, OKShift:Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PMJob Type:Temp-to-HireJob Order #:139143Position OverviewStand-By Personnel is seeking experienced Fitter Welders to join a skilled fabrication team in Tulsa. This position combines fitting and welding responsibilities and requires candidates who can produce quality fabrication work while maintaining strong safety and production standards.The ideal candidate has previous fitter/welder experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to successfully complete a hands-on plate weld test consisting of a TIG stringer with Flux Core fill and cap.Required Experience & Skills• Previous fitter/welder or fabrication experience preferred• Strong fitting and welding skills• Ability to successfully complete the required weld test• Ability to accurately fit and align fabricated components• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship• Ability to follow fabrication and welding requirements• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic• Safety-conscious approach to welding and fabrication• Ability to work independently and as part of a fabrication teamEssential Duties & Responsibilities• Fit and assemble fabricated components according to production requirements• Position and align materials prior to welding• Perform welding according to required procedures and specifications• Utilize TIG and Flux Core welding processes as required• Verify fit-up and alignment before completing welds• Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy• Identify and correct fit-up or welding issues as needed• Safely operate welding machines, grinders, and related fabrication equipment• Maintain consistent productivity and workmanship throughout the shift• Work collaboratively with Welders, Fitters, and production personnel• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area• Follow all company welding and safety procedures• Perform additional fitting, welding, and fabrication duties as assignedWeld Test RequirementsCandidates must successfully complete a hands-on Plate Test consisting of:• TIG Stringer• Flux Core Fill• Flux Core Cap• Completed weld must meet required quality and inspection standardsPreferred Qualifications• Previous Fitter Welder experience• Industrial or heavy fabrication experience• TIG welding experience• Flux Core welding experience• Structural or equipment fabrication experience• Experience using grinders and fabrication tools• Strong mechanical aptitude and fabrication skillsPhysical Requirements• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift• Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, and working in various fabrication positions• Ability to safely operate welding and fabrication equipment while wearing required PPE• Comfortable working around steel, welding equipment, grinders, heat, sparks, and industrial machinery• Ability to perform physically demanding fabrication work throughout a 10-hour shiftWork Environment• Industrial welding and fabrication environment• Hands-on fitting, assembly, and welding responsibilities• Regular use of TIG and Flux Core welding equipment and fabrication tools• Fast-paced environment focused on safety, fit-up accuracy, weld quality, and productivity• Four-day Monday–Thursday work scheduleWhy You'll Want This Opportunity• Competitive pay of $25.00–$28.00/hour, based on experience• Four-day Monday–Thursday schedule• Long-term temp-to-hire opportunity• Weekly pay• Combination of skilled fitting and welding responsibilities• Opportunity to utilize TIG and Flux Core welding skills• Hands-on industrial fabrication experience• Excellent opportunity for experienced Fitter Welders looking for steady, skilled workReady to Apply?Apply today for immediate consideration or call/text 918-582-0522 for more information.You can also apply in person at:Stand-By Personnel – Tulsa Skilled Division1531 E. 2nd St.Tulsa, OK 74120Monday–Friday | 8 AM – 4 PM
