Job Description
Job Title: Project Management SpecialistLocation: Tampa, FL –HybridDuration: 3 months contractInterview Type: In Person OnlyWork Environment
- Very visible position supporting internal and external customers statewide.
- Will be required to occasionally drive a state vehicle to other DCF sites in the Suncoast Region (Pinellas, Hillsborough, Manatee, Sarasota).
- MUST HAVE VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE AND RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM WORK.
- May occasionally have overnight travel in the Suncoast Region during emergencies.
- The staff member will have to report to 9393 N Florida Ave, Tampa, FL 33612 Monday –Friday, 8: 00 AM –5: 00 PM at their own expense.
- Any travel from that location will be on a state vehicle, including gas, tolls, and maintenance.
- If an overnight stay is required (which does not happen often and is usually related to Emergency Management activities), hotel accommodations are included, and meals are provided or reimbursed.
- Log and report your time accurately.
- Follow directives from supervisor and team leaders.
- Communication is key;you are expected to use the phone and email system to communicate across the agency.
- Compliance with CFOP 40-2 Vehicle Management;maintain your state vehicle and other state vehicles and submit monthly logs in a timely manner.
- Assist with internal and external moves for the department.
- Make keys for employees who request them and manage a log of issued keys.
- Manage the keycard system for multiple sites.
- Dispose of surplus materials and furniture in accordance with CFOP 80-2.
- Supply employees with furniture and desks as needed.
- Install whiteboards, corkboards, and pictures across the region in offices and hallways.
- Ensure you always arrive at sites prepared with hand dollies and the necessary tools to complete assigned work, and be responsible for issued equipment and tools.
- Assist IT with equipment moves and support large relocation projects.
- Use appropriate hand dollies to move large and heavy items such as filing cabinets and desks while following CFOP 215-4 Safety & Loss Control guidelines.
- Ensure facilities are functioning properly (AC, lights, etc.) so employees can work comfortably.
- Learn different locations, processes, and contacts;GPS navigation is essential.
- At each site, introduce yourself professionally and provide a business card to establish and maintain a directory of contacts.
- Maintain the warehouse, ensuring it remains organized, neat, and aisles remain clear.
- Request supply orders and purchase orders in a timely manner;never authorize services without an approved purchase order.
- Assist Disaster Management during hurricane impacts to prepare facilities and support recovery efforts.
- Ensure no safety issues exist before leaving any site and address concerns immediately.
- Address trespassing on state property;if an individual refuses to leave, call 911 and immediately notify designated leadership.
- Transfer surplus IT equipment to the Wildwood warehouse.
- Conduct site inspections across the region as directed.
