Fleet Mechanic - Forklifts, Commercial Trucks & Vehicles
Full-Time | Middle Tennessee
Pay: $25 - $35 per hour (DOE)

We are seeking an experienced Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair a mixed fleet of forklifts, commercial trucks, trailers, and light passenger vehicles. This is a shop- and yard-based role supporting local operations.

What You'll Work On as a Fleet Mechanic
- Forklifts (LP, gas, diesel, electric)
- Commercial trucks (Class A & B, yard trucks)
- Light-duty pickups and passenger vehicles
- Trailers, attachments, and shop equipment
Key Responsibilities of a Fleet Mechanic
- Perform preventive, routine, and repair maintenance across fleet equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, brake, steering, and driveline issues
- Perform brake jobs, tire replacements, suspension work, and inspections
- Troubleshoot engines, electrical systems, and safety components
- Conduct safety inspections prior to returning equipment to service
- Accurately document work orders, inspections, and parts usage
- Maintain a clean, safe, OSHA-compliant work area
Qualifications for a Fleet Mechanic
- 2+ years working as a mechanic (fleet, forklift, diesel, automotive, or similar)
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Experience with LP, gas, diesel, or electric equipment
- Basic electrical knowledge (industrial experience a plus)
- Valid driver's license & ability to pass a drug screen
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Must pass a drug screen as part of a drug-free workplace
