Job Description
The University of Lynchburg, a private, regional university in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Central Virginia, is seeking applicants for Cashier position in Dining Services.
This position reports to, is supervised by, and evaluated by the Shift Supervisor/Manager of Dining Services. Specific duties and responsibilities of this position description plus employee attitude will be evaluated.
Job Purpose
Responsibilities include operation of the cash register, keeping condiments stocked, and maintaining the cleanliness of the dining room. Assists in daily food service as needed, following established guidelines.
Essential Duties
Operate register according to cashiers manual.
Maintain customer relations with a positive and professional attitude.
Maintain the dining room and service area in a sanitary manner.
Keep all condiment areas stocked and cleaned.
Responsible for stocking convenience items and for keeping the convenience area clean and organized. Assist with ordering of convenience items for sale.
Perform any other related duties that may be required including, but not limited to, food production and assistance with daily paperwork.
Performs alternate work assignments in other campus departments during the summer months.
