Job Description
Food & Beverage Attendant (Banquets / Comp Services / Dinner)
Position Summary
The Food & Beverage Attendant supports daily food and beverage operations by delivering friendly guest service, maintaining clean and stocked service areas, and assisting with set-up and breakdown for breakfast service, banquets, comp services and dinner. This role works closely with cooks, bartenders, and the banquet team to keep service running smoothly and spaces guest-ready.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Service
Greet guests warmly, answer basic questions, and assist with requests in a courteous, professional manner.
Monitor dining and reception areas to ensure guests are comfortable and service needs are met.
Handle minor guest concerns and escalate issues to a supervisor or manager when needed.
Breakfast / Complimentary Breakfast Service
Set up and break down breakfast areas (buffet, beverage stations, condiments, etc.).
Replenish food, beverages, paper goods, and utensils; rotate stock and follow food safety standards.
Maintain clean tables and dining areas during service (wipe surfaces, reset tables, remove trash).
Support food presentation standards (neat, organized, on-brand).
Comp Reception / Dinner Support
Assist with complimentary reception and evening service set-up and breakdown (tables, linens, chafers, plates, glassware, trash stations, signage).
Maintain cleanliness and organization during receptions and events; remove used items promptly.
Support restaurant dining areas at night by bussing tables and keeping stations stocked.
Banquets & Event Support (as needed)
Assist banquet team with room resets, service runs, and event turnover.
Support service flow by running items, stocking service stations, and maintaining a clean back-of-house area.
Team Support / Stewarding
Assist bartenders and cooks by restocking, running items, and keeping work areas clean and organized.
Wash dishes, glassware, and utensils; operate dish machine and follow proper sanitation procedures.
Collect used dishes from dining areas and guest floors as assigned, and return them to dish area.
Take out trash, break down boxes, and keep storage and service areas clean and safe.
Standards & Compliance
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines (handwashing, temperature awareness, proper chemical use).
Follow hotel brand/service standards and maintain a clean, professional appearance.
Use safe lifting, carrying, and cleaning practices; report hazards or maintenance issues promptly.
Qualifications
Prior food service, banquet, or hospitality experience preferred (will train the right person).
Strong customer service mindset with a friendly, helpful attitude.
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
Must be dependable and able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift/carry items (commonly up to 30–50 lbs).
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting.
Exposure to hot/cold environments (kitchen, dish area, buffet line) and cleaning chemicals.
Fast-paced guest-facing environment with changing priorities.

Food & Beverage Supervisor / Banquet Captain / F&B Manager (varies by shift/assignment)
