- Pick up food orders from partner restaurants and ensure accurate order collection.
- Plan the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries and minimize delays.
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle, performing routine checks and reporting any maintenance issues.
- Provide outstanding customer service by delivering orders with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Verify order accuracy before delivery, ensuring all items are included and in proper condition.
- Process payments, including cash handling, and return any change accurately to customers.
- Collaborate with the dispatch team to ensure smooth communication and coordination.
- Maintain a positive and respectful relationship with restaurant staff and customers.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of food and sanitization practices.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and hours worked.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints, escalating complex issues to appropriate channels.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Prior experience as a delivery driver is a plus.
- Familiarity with local roads, neighborhoods, and traffic patterns.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet delivery deadlines.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly, demonstrating reliability.
- Detail-oriented mindset to ensure accurate order deliveries.
- Comfortable using navigation apps or GPS devices.
- Physical ability to lift and carry food orders, sometimes weighing up to a certain limit.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Basic math skills for processing payments and returning change.
