Job Title: Food Safety & Quality Assurance (QA) Coordinator
Location: Grand Prairie, TXPay: $17–$20 per hourJob Type: Full-Time (Non-Exempt)
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Food Safety & QA Coordinator to support our Food Safety and Quality Assurance team. This role is critical in maintaining compliance, managing documentation, supporting audits, and ensuring food safety and quality standards are consistently met across operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage food safety and quality documentation (electronic and physical)
- Track document versions and ensure proper document control procedures
- Support internal and third-party audits (GFSI, FDA, OSHA, etc.)
- Conduct inspections, testing, and quality checks on incoming products
- Assist with food safety, sanitation, and compliance programs
- Review daily quality records, identify trends, and escalate issues as needed
- Maintain logs (hold logs, training logs, compliance records, etc.)
- Support investigations related to customer complaints and incidents
- Coordinate QC, sanitation, and related operational activities
- Manage supplies and support general QA/QC operations
- Assist with special projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED (associate or bachelor’s degree is a plus)
- At least 2 years of administrative, document control, or process management experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience in food safety, QA/QC, or regulated environments
- Knowledge of compliance standards (GFSI, FDA, FSMA, etc.)
- Experience with document control systems and auditing processes
Work Environment
- Office and warehouse setting (climate-controlled)
- Frequent computer work, walking, and occasional lifting
- May require extended hours as needed
