Global Food Safety & Quality Compliance Specialist II
Position Overview
The Global Food Safety & Quality Compliance Specialist II is responsible for supporting the oversight and execution of food safety and quality management systems across an international network of manufacturing facilities, co-manufacturers, and supply chain partners.
This role ensures compliance with food safety regulations across multiple global markets and helps drive continuous improvement initiatives related to food safety culture, regulatory compliance, and quality management systems.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to maintain global compliance standards, supporting supplier quality programs, and helping ensure imported and internationally distributed products meet regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Support implementation and ongoing management of global Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) programs aligned with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in cross-functional quality and food safety initiatives to strengthen compliance programs and food safety culture.
Ensure compliance with GFSI-recognized food safety schemes (such as SQF, FSSC 22000, or BRCGS) across multiple international regions.
- Assist with supplier quality management programs, including supplier audits, certifications, documentation review, and traceability programs.
- Maintain supply chain food safety systems including HACCP/HARPC documentation and Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) compliance.
- Monitor global regulatory developments and support communication between headquarters, supply chain partners, customers, and regulatory agencies.
- Assist with implementation of preventive controls, food defense, and food fraud programs.
- Support crisis management activities, including investigations and product recall processes related to imported products.
- Develop and deliver training programs related to GMPs, HACCP, FSMA compliance, allergen control, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, and Legal teams during product development, commercialization, and international market expansion.
