Basic Function
The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure the safety, integrity, quality, and legality of all products shipped and processed at the facility. Assist in ensuring compliance with all food
processing regulatory and customer requirements. Ensure overall effectiveness and efficiency of all food safety programs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Responsible for assisting in keeping all company programs in compliance with all food processing regulations and maintaining all necessary food processing certifications.Responsible for maintaining GFSI, FSMA, GMP, Food Defense, and HACCP programs to provide risk-based approach to food safety with the guidance of the FSQA Manager. Responsible for leading internal audit program, and assisting in all audits as needed.Responsible for maintaining the lab tracker Assist with monthly Glass and Brittle plastic checksWork with maintenance/production on all equipment calibrations, maintain register Assist with managing the hold programAssist with all onboarding and training to GMPs and SVWG FSQA standards Leads Food Safety Committee and is responsible for scheduling and holding meetings as required.Responsible for trending food safety concerns and providing actionable information to necessary parties. Responsible for contributing to CAPA conclusion and resolution working hand in hand with the FSQA Manager, using the 5 whys methodResponsible for managing all day to day paperwork that gets submitted from the plant to the FSQA dept Revise SOP’s and work instructions and assist in training employees on them as necessary.Walk the plant daily to engage with different departments and help to address their concerns Works with relevant staff to complete all food safety questionnaires from customers as well as responding to customer complaints.Adhere to all safety rules and programsSkills & Specification
