Overview
Job Description
- Inspect raw materials including ingredients for quality and compliance
- Monitor chocolate production processes such as mixing, molding, and packaging
- Conduct in-process and finished product quality checks for appearance, texture, flavor, weight, and consistency
- Ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, HACCP, SQF, and food safety standards
- Complete quality documentation
- Identify quality issues and work with production teams on corrective actions. Conduct sanitation and equipment inspections to ensure cleanliness and food safety
- Ability to assist with shipping and receiving duties as well.
Food Quality Control Specialist Job Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience in foodservice is preferred and some experience with doing quality control on food.
Ability to learn operation of warehouse equipment
Ability to assist with shipping and receiving duties.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.
Team-oriented, dependable, and punctual.
