JOB TITLE: Food Service Aide
PROGRAM: Head Start
CLASSIFICATION: Hourly as Needed
JOB HOURS: 0-40 hours per week
SALARY: $16.48
JOB LOCATION: Head Start Center, Watertown
JOB SUMMARY: Duties include assisting in meal preparation for children in the Watertown Head Start Center, dishwashing and kitchen cleanup.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE: Experience in food service or related field preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Employment is conditional pending satisfactory medical exam and TB, test,, clearance from the NYS Central Register for Child Abuse, NYS Office of Children and Family Services, NYS Criminal Justice Center at the time of hire; and employee will be required to sign an affidavit annually which states that he/she has not been indicated in a child abuse or neglect case within the past year. Preference is given to in-house applicants. CAPC is a substance-free workplace. If required, employee must pass post-accident & reasonable suspicion drug testing. Valid driver's license is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Frequent standing for long interrupted periods of time, walking, and ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
