General Position Description
The Food Service Coordinator supervises food preparation and serves meals and snacks to center children and staff. The Food Service Coordinator is responsible for maintenance, cleanliness, inventory and safety of kitchen.
This position reports to Center Assistant Director.
Key Responsibilities
· Plan menus in accordance with nutritional guidelines and food restrictions.
· Prepare, cook and deliver meals.
· Comply with established sanitation/health standards and personal hygiene; observing proper food preparation and handing techniques according to state licensing requirements.
· Storing food properly and safely by marking dates and items
· Reporting necessary equipment repair and maintenance.
· Order food and related supplies to ensure a well-stocked kitchen.
· Correctly preparing all food served following standardized recipes and special diet orders
· Follow all center policies and state regulations.
· Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
· Attend all Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) Trainings & Workshops
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
· 1 – 2 years of professional experience in food service; preferably in child care or institutional setting.
· Basic math skills for measuring and portioning
· Infant/child CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens certification – https://nationalcprfoundation.com/#courses

· Must clear full background check through MERIT.
· Provide a negative TB Test

Educational Requirements
· If hired, will be required to take CACFP Online Training Courses. Employment Type
6.5 Hours Per Day – 30 Minute Lunch & One 10 Minute BreakShift: 6:30am- 1:30pm (This cannot be changed)
WageRange
$20.76 – $25.00 (Experience Dependent)
