Job Summary
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare food items by rinsing, peeling, slicing, dicing, weighing, and measuring ingredientsFollow standardized recipes to prepare and portion menu items accuratelyWrap, label, and properly store food items according to safety guidelinesMaintain appropriate food temperatures and portion control standardsServe customers in a fast, friendly, and efficient mannerProvide information regarding menu items, ingredients, and availabilityClean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, and service stationsMonitor and escalate customer concerns or issues to management as neededAdhere to all food safety, sanitation, and service standardsKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of food service operations, including line setup and temperature controlKnowledge of food preparation techniques, presentation, and quality standardsAbility to follow verbal and written instructions with accuracyAbility to read, write, and communicate effectivelyAbility to safely operate cleaning equipment and kitchen toolsAbility to lift and handle heavy items as neededBasic understanding of inventory control and supply managementAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentQualifications
EducationHigh School Diploma or Equivalent requiredExperienceexperience directly related to the duties and responsibilities of role 2-3 years requiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities- Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.- Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.- Ability to read and write.- Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.- Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.- Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects.- Knowledge of food service lines set-up and temperature requirements.- Skill in cooking and preparing a variety of foods.- Knowledge of food preparation and presentation methods, techniques, and quality standards.
