Job Summary
The Food Service Worker supports daily food service operations by preparing, assembling, and delivering meals for patients, visitors, and staff. Ensures a safe, clean, and customer-focused environment while maintaining high standards of food quality and sanitation.Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and deliver patient meal trays accurately and efficiently
- Set up, stock, and maintain tray line, cafeteria, and kitchen stations
- Prepare basic food items for patient and retail meal service
- Serve food and beverages to customers in a friendly and timely manner
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and service stations
- Operate kitchen equipment such as dish machines and perform general cleaning tasks (e.g., mopping, waste removal)
- Monitor supplies and report shortages, discrepancies, or concerns to supervisors
- Support departmental goals to improve operations and customer satisfaction
- Assist with training and cross-training of team members
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and ongoing department education
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Strong customer service skills with a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Ability to read menu items and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to follow HACCP, safety, and sanitation standards
- Ability to push carts and transport food and supplies
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness, quality, and operational efficiency

Work Environment
- Onsite role in a busy healthcare food service setting
- Requires standing, walking, and physical activity throughout the shift
- Exposure to kitchen equipment, cleaning products, and varying temperatures
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred (experience may be accepted in lieu of education)
- Prior food service experience preferred

$18.10
24 Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, and every other weekend, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
