Food Service Worker/Correctional Facility Bexar County Jail

Selrico Services Inc. is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to join our team and work with inmates at a correctional facility in San Antonio, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving meals to inmates while ensuring a clean and safe environment in accordance with facility protocols.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and serve meals according to specified menus and portion sizes.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in kitchen and dining areas.
• Follow all safety and security guidelines specific to a correctional facility setting.
• Manage inventory of kitchen supplies and report shortages as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient meal service.
• Perform routine cleaning of kitchen equipment and work areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in food service or hospitality is a plus.
• Ability to work in a correctional environment following strict safety and security protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to pass an extensive background check.
• Will be working weekends as needed.
• Shift will be 1p-9p.
