$18.50 - $27.75Food Services Assistant II
Prepares and delivers food trays to patients, processes meal requests, and provides customer service using a point-of-sale system. Assists patients, staff, and customers both in person and over the phone. Manages nourishment orders and deliveries through the hospital's computer system.
Position Highlights:
- Located in High Point, NC

You'll Need:
High School Diploma or GED
Nice to Have:
2+ years in food service
Essential Functions:
- Food Preparation:Assists with cold food prep, baking, and grill work
- Transporting Items:Moves supplies between storeroom, kitchen, and service areas
- Tray Preparation:Assembles patient and customer meal trays
- Sanitation & Cleaning:Cleans kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas; washes dishes
- Tray Delivery & Pickup:Delivers and retrieves patient meal trays
- Order Entry:Inputs patient meal orders and diet restrictions into the system
- Nourishment Delivery:Delivers ordered nutrition supplies to units
- Cash Handling:Operates cash register, balances drawer daily
- Customer Service:Resolves or escalates complaints
- Professionalism:Maintains a positive, team-oriented attitude and follows workplace standards
- Other Duties:As assigned by management
Skills/Qualifications:
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic food prep, cleaning, and sanitation knowledge
- Customer service and communication skills
- Basic math and cash handling skills
- Ability to multi-task and problem-solve
- Basic computer skills
