30 hours per week | Full Year Position | $17.54 – 18.26 / Hour

Job Overview: We are a fast-paced and high-demand non-profit program that depends on everybody in every position to help our centers function with ease. You will gain diverse experience working with an at-risk population. Cross training is available and expected for all positions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Responsible meal preparation and for purchasing necessary supplies and food for meal preparation in accordance with Head Start Program Performance Standards and Child Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)
- Operate, sanitize, and maintain kitchen equipment
- Complete paperwork as required according to Head Start and CACFP guidelines
- Assist in menu planning
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED (required)
Valid driver's license (required)
Food Protection Managers Certificate or working towards certificate (preferred)
Experience in commercial food preparation (required)
Ability to obtain SERV Safe certification (Norwescap will support cost of obtaining SERV Safe Certification)
The successful candidate will be: compassionate, organized, flexible, communicator, team-player
Physical abilities: Must be able to lift 45 pounds independently without assistance
