Food Truck Cashier

Position Summary

We are looking for an energetic, friendly, and dependable Food Truck Cashier to provide exceptional customer service and support daily food truck operations. The Cashier will be responsible for greeting guests, taking orders, processing payments, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring every customer has a positive experience from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Greet every guest with a positive attitude and welcoming demeanor.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
• Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and promotions.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve guest concerns professionally.

Cash Handling & Order Management

• Accurately process cash, credit card, and mobile payments.
• Enter orders correctly into the POS system.
• Verify orders before handing them to guests.
• Maintain accountability for all transactions and cash drawer balances.

Food Truck Operations

• Assist with opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary service area.
• Restock condiments, utensils, beverages, and other supplies as needed.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.

Teamwork

• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient operations.
• Assist with light cleaning and side work during slower periods.
• Support the team in maintaining company standards and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous cashier, customer service, retail, or restaurant experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using POS systems.
• Food truck, restaurant, or quick-service experience.
• Basic cash-handling experience.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
