Job Description
Carmel Partners, one of the nation's leading specialists in real estate investment management with expertise in the investment, development, and construction of multi-family real estate, is seeking a Construction Foreman with experience in Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
The Construction Foreman oversees day-to-day construction activities on the worksite and ensures that the construction plans communicated by the Project Director, Project Manager, or Superintendent are carried out. The Foreman works with the site crew to help ensure the project is completed on schedule and within budget. Responsibilities include managing third-party vendors and contractors selected to support the company in assigned development or redevelopment activities.

What you'll do
- Responsible for opening, closing, and securing the job site
- Operate construction equipment and hand tools
- Responsible for deliveries to the job site, which may involve moving, handling, unloading, or loading
- Assist in monitoring and overseeing the job site, including personnel and the construction crew's safety
- Coordinate among multiple subcontractors with respect to logistics and lay down areas
- Maintain construction schedule, identify problems, report them to the supervisor, and assist in resolution
- Coordinate and monitor the sanitary facilities
- Be present when there is any activity in the field
- Assist with job site security, materials, tools, and gang boxes
- Responsible for purchasing and picking up materials and delivering them to the job site
- Handle all miscellaneous tasks around the construction office, including setting up Carmel personnel, furniture, plan tables, storage, etc.
- Attend subcontractor meetings
- Assist in overseeing final punch list items are completed
- Assist in collecting reports from subcontractors
- Assist in preparing daily reports
- Oversee laborers
- Provide technical IT support as needed
- Assist with inspections
- Report any safety issues to the supervisor immediately
- Support Construction Manager, Assistant Construction Manager, Project Manager, Superintendent, and/or Project Director as needed
- Attend work as scheduled to support the ongoing success of the company
- Other duties, responsibilities, and special projects, as assigned
What you'll bring
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 2 to 3 years' manual labor experience on a construction site
- Able to read and understand construction plans and specifications
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Must have knowledge and concern for work safety requirements, including OSHA, and abide by Carmel Partners' policies and procedures
- Ability to learn and comply with all safety rules, including wearing of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
- Must be available to work on weekends
- Crane, logistics, and man hoist experience
- Storm water certification preferred
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Salary range: $35 to $42 hr. The Company provides this compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that it, in good faith, believes it might pay and/or offer for this position.
