Job Description
Job Title: Forklift OperatorLocation: York, NE Pay: $23.00/hourShift: Day ShiftJob Type: Full-Time / Seasonal OpportunityPosition OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Forklift Operator to support warehouse and production operations. This role is responsible for moving materials efficiently, maintaining accurate inventory tracking and ensuring a clean and safe work environment. If you have forklift experience and enjoy working in a fast-paced setting, this is a great opportunity.Key Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift to push, pull, lift, stack and move materials throughout the warehouse
- Complete daily forklift inspections and maintain equipment cleanliness
- Track and update material locations using warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Load and unload transport vehicles while ensuring product quality
- Assist with inventory, sampling, and general warehouse duties as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace (5S standards)
- Follow all safety procedures and respond appropriately to emergency situations
- Forklift experience highly preferred (certification a plus)
- Warehouse experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to count inventory and read scales
- Comfortable operating equipment in tight or confined spaces
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Mechanically inclined with strong safety awareness
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds as needed
- Ability to perform repetitive motions
- Comfortable working in indoor and outdoor conditions including temperature changes
- Steel-toe, over-the-ankle boots required (employee provided)
- PPE provided: hard hat, gloves, safety vest and eyewear
- Must wear appropriate work attire (durable pants, sleeved shirts, no loose clothing)
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site
- Overtime and extended hours may be required during peak seasons
- Strict adherence to safety, electronic device and workplace policies required
- Food and drink are not permitted in work areas
