Forklift Operator - 1st Shift 5:30am-2:00pm

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain current forklift license.
• Can and does preoperational inspection
• Perform basic operations on Top Gun, such as, scan a unit and move to a bin location
• Read the schedule for each machine and load the in-feed conveyor properly
• Understands and performs clean up procedures
• Unload trucks and place units in correct location
• Tend to scrap baler when needed and in a timely manner
• Unload finished goods line and place in proper location
• Read tuck plans and load trucks properly
• Communicate with truck drivers in a professional manner
• Train and prepare others for forklift operator certification
• Effectively communicate with employees and others as required in the daily execution of assigned duties
• Assist other team members

Education, Experience, and Attributes

• Proven production experience preferred but not required
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Capable of learning multiple jobs
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds; standing and continuous lifting are required.
• Must have the ability to do basic math and read a tape measure.
• Highschool diploma or equivalent is required
