About the role.

The Forklift Operator- Packaging is responsible for supporting plant operations through the safe and efficient movement of materials, inventory, and finished goods throughout the facility. This role ensures inventory accuracy, maintains proper product rotation practices, and supports production teams by delivering materials when needed. The Forklift Operator plays a critical role in maintaining production flow and operational efficiency in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

What you'll be doing.

• Operate forklifts safely to move materials between receiving, storage, production, and shipping areas.
• Load and unload delivery trucks in accordance with safety and operational procedures.
• Stage and deliver dry goods and other materials to production departments as needed.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through system transactions and documentation.
• Ensure proper product rotation and inventory management using FIFO practices.
• Organize and maintain storage areas to promote efficiency and inventory accuracy.
• Verify materials are properly labeled and stored in designated locations.
• Support production teams to help maintain continuous workflow and plant operations.
• Follow all food safety, quality, environmental, and workplace safety requirements.
• Perform routine housekeeping duties and maintain clean, organized work areas.

What you'll need to be successful.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 to 3 months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous forklift experience in a warehouse, receiving, inventory, or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a company-issued forklift certification.
• Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, ratios, and percentages.
• Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer knowledge and the ability to learn inventory management systems.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

About the team.

You'll be part of the Packaging and Warehouse Operations team at our Burley, Idaho facility. This team works closely with production, receiving, and shipping departments to ensure materials are available when needed and inventory is managed accurately. The Forklift Operator plays an important role in supporting efficient plant operations and helping deliver high-quality products to our customers.

Compensation Package: - Starting at 21.91 USD hourly + Bonus eligibility + Hourly Pay Differential for applicable shifts
