Job Description

Forklift Operators 1st & 2nd Shift

1st shift 9:00am-5:30pm $17/hr M-F may work overtime and weekend

2nd Shift 4:00pm-12:30am $17.75/hr may work overtime and weekends

A cold Storage warehouse in Spencer, IA is looking for forklift Operators for their 2nd shift. You will be working in a freezer type environment Loading and unloading product. Must have forklift experience.

Responsibilities:

Load and unload freight using equipment in an efficient and safe manner
Move product to storage areas and put away with proper equipment.
Check or count freight for accuracy and/or damage and infestation
Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking
Operate equipment safely and efficiently (equipment to include, but not limited to stand up and sit down forklifts, and pallet jacks.
Report all safety malfunctions on equipment
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work environment
Follow attendance policy, show up for work on time and ready to work assigned shift
Perform other duties as assigned, may be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time, as needed
Must be able to lift heavy boxes up to 90 pounds when needed.

Requirements:

Requires ability to work independently
May work overtime, evenings, or weekends to complete work, as directed and authorized by management
Requires the ability to pay close attention to details and meet deadlines.
Be able to work in temperatures of an average of 38 to Negative degrees depending on the work assignment.
The employee may encounter wet floors and/or damp areas and encounter meat products including blood/fat pieces
Follow all safety rules

Benefits & Pay:

$17-$17.75/hour Depending on shift
