Job Description
About Us
GenMD is unlocking healthcare data at scale. Today, roughly 97% of healthcare data goes unused because of patient privacy concerns. We’ve found a way to unlock that data—safely and ethically—for AI labs, pharma companies, and researchers. This isn’t a chatbot, or an AI agent replacing clinicians or automating paperwork. It’s core infrastructure that enables better drugs, faster clinical trials, and more powerful medical research—the kind of foundation that makes real breakthroughs, including curing diseases, possible.
The company was built out of years inside Stanford Medicine, working closely with world-class researchers and clinicians. We have access to tens of millions of patients, longitudinal health records, and clinical notes. GenMD is just coming out of stealth, already revenue-generating, well-funded, and backed by premier investors with years of runway. We’re intentionally small, move fast, and are focused on building something fundamental.
Your Mission
Work directly with the Founder/CEO to accelerate product-market fit.
You’ll help translate real customer needs into product direction and go-to-market strategy—operating at the intersection of product, sales, and strategy.
This is not a “PM intern” role. You will be doing real work that directly shapes what we build and how we sell it.
What You’ll Do
Conduct customer discovery with researchers, pharma teams, and AI labs
Synthesize insights into:
ICP definition
high-value use cases
willingness-to-pay signals
Help define product positioning and packaging
Join and support customer calls, demos, and early sales conversations
Translate feedback into clear product requirements and priorities
Analyze user behavior and feedback from early deployments (Stanford, partners)
Design and execute 1–2 go-to-market experiments (e.g., outbound, pilots, pricing tests)
Create customer-facing materials (decks, one-pagers, demos)
Support partnerships and early pipeline development
Requirements
MBA student (or equivalent experience) at a top program
Strong interest in healthcare, AI, or data platforms
Background in consulting, startups, product, investing, or similar
Highly comfortable with ambiguity and fast-moving environments
Strong communicator—can synthesize messy inputs into clear insights
Willing to talk to customers, push projects forward, and operate independently
High ownership mindset—you default to action
Culture
Office in Palo Alto. Walking distance to University Ave and Stanford campus.
High ownership, high intensity, zero passengers.
We don’t hire for culture fit—we hire people who create culture.
Benefits
Competitive comp + meaningful equity.
Daily breakfast, coffee, and fresh snacks. On-site Fitness Center.
Team offsites, conferences, late nights building something real.
