Foundry TechnicianPay:$16.93$21.68 per hourLocation:Tulsa, OKShift:MondayThursday | 3:00 AM 1:30 PMOvertime:Fridays | Approximately 8 Hours ExpectedJob Type:Full-TimeJob Order #:138697Position OverviewStand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable Foundry Technician to support multiple stages of the metal casting and foundry production process in Tulsa. Depending on experience and production needs, this position may work with mold and core preparation, melting, pouring, shakeout, casting cleanup, inspection, finishing, and material handling.The ideal candidate has previous foundry or heavy industrial experience, is comfortable working in physically demanding conditions, and is willing to cross-train across multiple areas of the operation. On-the-job training is available.Required Experience & Skills High school diploma or GED required Previous foundry, manufacturing, or heavy industrial experience preferred 1+ year of experience in two or more foundry-related areas preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a production team Ability to multitask in a fast-paced industrial environment Willingness to cross-train across multiple foundry operations Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Corrected vision to 20/20 required Must successfully complete required drug screening and background checkEssential Duties & Responsibilities Perform assigned operations throughout the metal casting production process Prepare cores and molds for casting operations Assist with mold closing and preparation prior to pouring Support induction melting and pouring operations as assigned Perform shakeout operations following the casting process Clean and finish completed castings according to specifications Remove gates, risers, fins, and other excess casting material Perform abrasive blasting, grinding, and casting cleanup Inspect finished castings for defects and quality concerns Assist with casting repairs and touch-ups when required Support sand reclamation and pattern storage activities Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, loaders, and material-handling equipment when trained and authorized Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow all company safety policies and production procedures Cross-train and assist in other foundry departments as neededFoundry OperationsCandidates may work or cross-train in areas including: Core making Mold making and closing Induction melting Pouring Shakeout Abrasive blasting Grinding and finishing Casting inspection and repair Sand reclamation Pattern storage Material handlingPreferred Qualifications Previous foundry experience Experience in two or more foundry production areas Core or mold making experience Melting or pouring experience Shakeout experience Abrasive blasting or industrial grinding experience Casting inspection and finishing experience Forklift and overhead crane experience Front-end loader experience Pattern shop or pattern storage experiencePhysical Requirements Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, and repetitive physical activity Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods Comfortable working around heavy castings and moving industrial equipment Ability to safely operate tools and production equipment while wearing required PPE Ability to work in environments involving extreme temperatures, dust, noise, and fumesRequired PPE Hard hat Gloves Face mask Steel-toed boots Additional PPE as required by assigned foundry operationsWork Environment Heavy industrial foundry and metal casting environment Exposure to extreme temperatures, noise, dust, fumes, and moving equipment Regular work around molten metal, castings, molds, grinders, blasting equipment, forklifts, cranes, and loaders Physically demanding production environment requiring consistent safety awareness Early-morning MondayThursday schedule with approximately 8 hours of Friday overtime expected Cross-training throughout multiple foundry departments based on production needsWhy You'll Want This Opportunity Competitive pay of $16.93$21.68/hour Four-day primary MondayThursday schedule Approximately 8 hours of Friday overtime expected Weekly pay On-the-job training available Opportunity to learn multiple stages of the metal casting process Cross-training in molding, core making, melting, pouring, shakeout, grinding, and inspection Gain experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, loaders, and other industrial equipment Excellent opportunity to develop a broad skill set in foundry and heavy industrial manufacturingReady to Apply?Apply today for immediate consideration or call/text 918-582-0522 for more information.You can also apply in person at:Stand-By Personnel Tulsa Skilled Division1531 E. 2nd St.Tulsa, OK 74120MondayFriday | 8 AM 4 PM
