Summary

As an FP&A Analyst, you'll play a critical role in helping the bank understand the why behind performance. This role partners closely with Finance leadership, business leaders, and technology teams to analyze profitability, costs, and financial drivers across the organization. The ideal analyst is intellectually curious, technically strong, and motivated by turning complex data into clear, actionable insights that influence decision‑making at the enterprise level.

This role is based in Tulsa, OK and offers strong exposure to senior finance leaders, meaningful analytical projects, and long-term career growth within FP&A.

Job Description

The FP&A Analyst supports profitability and cost analysis initiatives by developing insights that help leaders understand financial performance at the product, segment, and customer level. This role contributes to forecasting, modeling, and reporting efforts while partnering across Finance, business units, and Technology to ensure accurate, insightful analysis.

You'll work on high‑impact projects tied to net interest margin, earnings drivers, and customer profitability, while continuing to strengthen your technical and analytical skillset in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • Analyze profitability, costs, and financial performance across products, customers, and business segments
  • Build and maintain financial models to support forecasting, scenario analysis, and sensitivity analysis
  • Partner with Finance leadership, business stakeholders, and Technology to support enterprise‑wide financial initiatives
  • Support attribution analysis (e.g., net interest margin, earnings per share, profit margin drivers)
  • Prepare clear, concise analysis and presentations for senior leaders, including CFO‑level discussions
  • Work with large data sets using Excel and data analytics tools to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Contribute to ongoing enhancement of reporting, tools, and analytical processes

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Data Analytics/Science, or a related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, banking, or a similar analytical role
  • Financial services experience is strongly preferred, but not required
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with or exposure to data and analytics tools such as SQL, Power BI, Python, R, or Alteryx is highly desirable
  • Understanding of financial statements, banking concepts, and profitability drivers (interest vs. non‑interest income, balance sheet concepts, FTP exposure is a plus)
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills
  • Ability to clearly communicate financial insights to both technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Motivation to continue growing technically and professionally within FP&A
