The Franchise Business Consultant (FBC) at DRYmedic Restoration Services is a key strategic advisor to franchise partners, with a strong focus on Contents operations, profitability, and execution excellence. This role is responsible for coaching franchise partners on the effective use of the DRYmedic System of Business to drive growth, operational consistency, and financial performance—specifically within contents restoration, mitigation, and reconstruction services.
The FBC partners closely with franchise owners to analyze business performance, identify gaps, and implement improvement strategies using DRYmedic’s tools, systems, and best practices. Success in this role requires deep operational knowledge of contents restoration, a consultative coaching approach, and the ability to translate data into actionable improvements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a trusted business consultant and coach to franchise partners, with a primary focus on contents restoration operations, workflow efficiency, and profitability.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with franchise owners to influence operational discipline, revenue growth, and margin performance.
  • Maintain consistent weekly contact with franchise partners to monitor business performance, with regular analysis of contents-related KPIs, estimating accuracy, and job cycle times.
  • Conduct on-site visits (one to two full days annually per franchise) to provide hands-on coaching, training, and operational audits, particularly within contents handling, pack-out/pack-back processes, and reconstruction coordination.
  • Support franchise partners in delivering outstanding client experiences, including guidance on resolving customer complaints or service issues related to contents and mitigation work.
  • Partner with franchise owners on financial health by: 
    • Developing and reviewing annual budgets
    • Conducting monthly P&L reviews, including YOY revenue analysis
    • Identifying profitability opportunities within contents and reconstruction jobs
  • Advise franchise partners on appropriate staffing models for contents, mitigation, and reconstruction operations; support recruiting, training, and retention of technicians, office staff, and management.
  • Coach franchise partners on sales execution, emphasizing proper job scoping, customer education, and value-based selling of contents services and options.
  • Ensure franchise partners understand and comply with the Franchise Agreement, providing guidance and support to resolve compliance issues when necessary.
  • Promote strong team engagement and alignment with DRYmedic’s culture and operational standards.
  • Develop and deliver training materials and presentations for franchise owners and their teams, including contents best practices, estimating, and operational efficiency.
  • Utilize CoreLogic DASH and Xactimate to analyze performance, support estimating accuracy, and improve operational reporting.
  • Apply deep knowledge of contents restoration, mitigation, and reconstruction processes to guide franchise partners in operational decision-making.
  • Travel as needed to support franchise partners and attend company meetings, training sessions, and events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong operational knowledge of Contents restoration is required, including pack-out/pack-back, estimating, inventory management, and reconstruction coordination.
  • Experience with CoreLogic DASH and Xactimate is required.
  • Knowledge of Mitigation and Reconstruction processes is required.
  • High level of comfort with business math and financial analysis, including reading and interpreting P&L statements, budgets, margins, and KPIs.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate clearly with franchise owners, managers, employees, prospective franchisees, and vendors.
