Job Description

Position- Analyst- FRM Stress Testing PMO TeamFirm Risk ManagementFirm Risk Management (FRM) supports Morgan Stanley to achieve its business goals by partnering with business units across the Firm to realize efficient risk-adjusted returns, acting as a strategic advisor to the Board and protecting the Firm from exposure to losses as a result of credit, market, liquidity, operational, model and other risks. Background on the PositionThe role will reside within the Firm Risk Management's Stress Testing PMO Team to support the Firm's stress testing programs and capital planning initiatives, focusing on program management, governance framework and documentation processes. This position offers opportunities to gain exposure to all aspects of stress testing and capital planning and to senior risk managers. The group works in close collaboration with subject matter experts in Market Risk, Credit Risk, Capital, Risk Analytics, Reporting and Model Risk Management, as well as other departments within the Firm.Primary Responsibilities >* Project management of stress testing initiatives within FRM, including timeline management, work stream tracking, control and governance>* Assist in execution of the stress testing governance framework and processes, including review and challenge, minutes, attestations, and senior management committees>* Participate in and provide inputs/challenges to the risk identification, scenario design, and stress testing processes through the Firm's Risk and Control Framework>* Support end-to-end coordination for regulatory engagements, meetings and requests>* Support alignment of policies and procedures to regulatory requirements and updated processes>* Communicate regulatory guidance to impacted stakeholders to ensure compliance>* Apply analytical skills to seek efficiency improvements throughout the stress testing process>* Produce documentation and presentations to effectively communicate key information to senior management and regulators>* Work with stakeholders across teams in FRM and other areas to ensure adherence to regulatory guidance and best practices>* Provide ad hoc support related to stress testing, including but not limited to regulatory exams, internal audit, and independent reviews Experience >* Bachelor's degree required>* Attention to detail and ability to prioritize projects and workload>* Experience working under pressure and performing to tight deadlines>* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal>* Experience in project or process management at financial institutions preferred but not required>* Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $75,000 and 140,000 year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
