Front Desk AssistantFull-Time | $18–20/hourSchedule: Monday–Thursday 7:30am–4:30pm & Friday 7:30am–12:00pmLocation: Atlanta, GA 30309About Southern Pain & SpineAt Southern Pain & Spine, you’ll join a leading interventional pain management practice serving North Georgia and Metro Atlanta. Our board-certified team provides personalized treatment plans and minimally invasive procedures designed to reduce pain, restore function, and improve quality of life.The OpportunityAs a Front Desk Assistant, you will serve as a key point of contact for patients while supporting administrative and clinical workflow. You’ll help maintain organized medical records, manage front desk operations, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.What You’ll DoPatient Experience & Front Desk Operations
- Check patients in and out
- Register patients and collect co-pays and deposits
- Prepare necessary documents including new patient paperwork, insurance cards, and notice of privacy practices
- Answer phones in a friendly manner and direct calls appropriately
- Schedule appointments and obtain necessary patient information
- Deliver compassionate support and assistance to patients and families
- Interact with physicians and office personnel in a friendly manner
- Create new patient charts and pull existing charts as needed
- File documentation into charts
- Maintain a pre-determined, organized medical record format
- Ensure confidentiality, security, and physician safety of patient medical records
- Obtain and record patient medical histories, vitals, test results, and other information while maintaining strict confidentiality
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA
- Adhere to facility clinical guidelines as they relate to this position
- Prepare examination rooms
- Maintain supplies and a clean facility environment
- Complete annual mandatory training by assigned deadlines
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Enjoy being the first point of contact for patients
- Communicate clearly and professionally with patients and clinical staff
- Maintain strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Balance administrative tasks while supporting clinical workflow
- Work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
- High School Diploma or GED required
- At least one year of experience in an administrative role required
- Previous employment in a healthcare facility preferred
- Required Skills & Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Basic understanding of clerical procedures such as recordkeeping and filing
- Ability to work independently
- Knowledge of confidentiality requirements and strict maintenance of patient information
- Knowledge of medical terminology, spelling, and office ethics
