Front Desk Receptionist Healthcare OfficePay: $20.00 $22.00 per hour
Our client is seeking a professional, organized, and patient-focused Front Desk Receptionist to support their Port St. Lucie office. This position is ideal for someone with healthcare office experience, strong communication skills, and familiarity with Electronic Medical Records systems.
The Front Desk Receptionist will play an important role in helping patients move through the neuropsychological evaluation process, from initial intake scheduling through testing and follow-up appointments. This position requires attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to provide a welcoming experience for patients and families.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
Greeting patients as they arrive for appointments at the Port St. Lucie office
Scheduling patients for intake, testing, and feedback appointments for neuropsychological evaluations
Coordinating appointments for both the Port St. Lucie and Melbourne offices based on incoming referrals
Scheduling approximately 7 to 10 referrals per day
Managing appointment timelines, which may include three appointments spaced approximately two weeks apart
Answering incoming phone calls and responding to emails
Checking patients in for appointments and collecting copayments
Scanning patient documents and uploading information into the EMR system
Assisting with patient records, referral information, and general front desk support
Maintaining patient confidentiality and following HIPAA requirements
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
Prior front desk, receptionist, or administrative experience in a healthcare setting
Experience with Electronic Medical Records systems preferred
Knowledge of HIPAA requirements preferred
Experience with Google Drive / Google Workspace preferred
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent phone, email, and in-person communication skills
A professional, friendly, and patient-centered demeanor
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Willingness to complete and pass HIPAA training during the training period
