The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a hospital-based healthcare environment.Key Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and accurately dispense physician medication orders*
- Evaluate medication dosing, drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications*
- Provide clinical consultation and pharmacotherapy recommendations to providers and nursing staff*
- Oversee and support pharmacy technicians and ancillary staff*
- Maintain compliance with state, federal, and hospital pharmacy regulations*
- Participate in medication safety programs and quality assurance initiatives*
- Monitor inpatient medication therapy for safety and effectiveness*
- Support patient education and discharge counseling when applicable*
- Utilize EMR systems and automated dispensing technology effectively
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited program preferred or*
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (if grandfathered and currently licensed)
- Active Washington State Pharmacist License in good standing*
- Current BLS Certification (AHA)*
- Immunization Certification preferred*
- Board Certification such as BCPS preferred but not required
- Hospital pharmacy experience preferred*
- Strong knowledge of inpatient medication management*
- Experience with EMR systems and automated dispensing systems*
- Familiarity with state and federal pharmacy regulations
