Our focus spans proprietary technology, consulting, and energy transition to complete delivery of major capital projects and programs.

KBR is seeking a Fuel Supply Scheduler to join the Project Controls team.

The Fuel Supply Scheduler is responsible for coordinating the timely and efficient movement of crude oil, NGLs, refined products, and other bulk liquid commodities across a multi-modal transportation network. This role serves as the operational link between commercial commitments and physical execution, ensuring product movements are scheduled, monitored, and completed safely, accurately, and in compliance with applicable procedures and transportation requirements.

The position requires close collaboration with operations, terminals, carriers, pipelines, and commercial stakeholders to support inventory management, supply continuity, and the resolution of day-to-day scheduling challenges.

This will be a project hire with an expected duration of 12 - 18 months.

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Supply & Transportation Coordination

  • Develop, execute, and maintain transportation schedules supporting crude oil, NGL, refined products, and other bulk liquid movements.

  • Coordinate product transfers across pipelines, terminals, storage facilities, marine assets, rail networks, and truck transportation providers.

  • Manage pipeline nomination activities, monitor scheduling cycles, and ensure submissions are completed within established timelines.

  • Monitor transportation constraints, allocations, maintenance activities, and operating limitations that may impact product delivery commitments.

  • Ensure operational schedules remain aligned with inventory requirements, customer commitments, and commercial objectives.

Inventory & Operational Monitoring

  • Track inventory balances and product positions across terminals, tanks, storage assets, and transportation systems.

  • Reconcile planned versus actual movements and investigate discrepancies involving volumes, timing, measurement, or location data.

  • Support inventory balancing and stock management efforts to maintain operational reliability and avoid supply disruptions.

  • Assist with month-end close activities, inventory validation, and movement actualization processes.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a primary point of coordination between commercial teams, operations personnel, terminal operators, transportation providers, and supply organizations.

  • Communicate scheduling updates, transportation issues, inventory concerns, and emerging risks in a timely manner.

  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve execution issues and optimize movement performance.

  • Escalate significant operational risks, transportation disruptions, or unresolved scheduling conflicts as appropriate.

Operational Excellence & Issue Resolution

  • Respond to changing operating conditions, including transportation delays, terminal constraints, supply interruptions, and weather-related impacts.

  • Support contingency planning and execution to minimize impacts to customer commitments and business operations.

  • Identify recurring operational challenges and recommend improvements to scheduling practices, workflows, and execution processes.

  • Contribute to cross-training, workload balancing, and knowledge-sharing initiatives within the scheduling organization.

Compliance & Controls

  • Execute activities in accordance with company procedures, transportation agreements, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.

  • Maintain accurate, complete, and auditable records of nominations, schedule changes, inventory transactions, and movement documentation.

  • Promote safe work practices and sound operational decision-making in all transportation and scheduling activities.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable tariff requirements, transportation rules, and relevant industry regulations.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related discipline; equivalent industry experience may be considered.

  • 3-5 years of experience supporting scheduling, logistics, transportation operations, inventory management, supply coordination, or related functions within the energy, refining, petrochemical, midstream, or industrial sectors.

  • Working knowledge of bulk liquid transportation and supply chain operations.

  • Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced operational environment.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard business applications.

Preferred Education & Skills:

  • Experience supporting crude oil, NGL, refined products, fuels, ethanol, petrochemical, or chemical supply chains.

  • Familiarity with pipeline nomination processes, terminal operations, and transportation scheduling platforms.

  • Experience with CTRM/ETRM systems such as RightAngle, Endur, Allegro, Quorum, SAP TSW, or similar applications.

  • Understanding of pipeline tariffs, transportation contracts, inventory management practices, and supply optimization principles.
