Job Description
OMEX is seeking a Full - time Custodian within the Baton Rouge area. The Janitor performs manual labor associated with the daily cleaning of lobby areas, venue areas, office spaces, breakrooms, and restrooms. Duties require moderate physical strength and stamina. The scope of work includes but is not limited to: dust mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning restrooms, removing trash, polishing furniture, and operating basic mechanical cleaning equipment Louisiana State Police Criminal Background Check Required at a cost of $46. Location: 7918 Independence Street. Baton Rouge, LA. The performance of these duties is Monday-Friday from 7:30am- 4:30pm located at: Juvenile Services Location: Juvenile Services 8333 Veterans Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA 70807 Scheduled Shift: Monday- Friday- 7:30am- 4:30pm Criminal Background Check Required Regular Responsibilities include but not limited to: 1. Empty trash containers and recycle receptacles. 2. Dust mop, sweep, wet mop floors. 3. Vacuum rugs and carpets. 4. Scrub and clean restroom fixtures and keep restroom supplied with towels, toilet tissue, soap, and other items. 5. Dust and clean walls, doors windows, woodwork, and other above-floor surfaces. 6. Clean and sanitize kitchen/break room area 7. Dust, clean and polish furniture 8. Clean door glass interior and exterior. 9. Clean inside and applicable outside window glass 10. Police areas around outside of building 11. Perform related work as required and instructed. Requirements: Criminal Background Check Required Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment Ability to perform manual tasks requiring moderate physical strength Ability to operate mechanical cleaning equipment Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions in the performance of the job Ability to establish and maintain working relations with supervisor and fellow workers Knowledge in floor care for both carpet and hard floor • Must be able to communicate in English verbally and written• Applicant must past E-Verify• Background Check• Reliable transportation | |
