We are looking for an energetic and passionate Server to join our team at Ling & Louie's Asian Bar and Grill. As a Server, you will be the face of our restaurant, ensuring guests have an unforgettable dining experience. You will take orders, serve food and drinks, and maintain a positive atmosphere in the restaurant. This is a non-exempt, tipped position.

Essential Job Functions

• Hospitality
  • Greet guests warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Provide detailed menu information and answer guest questions.
  • Accurately take food and drink orders using the POS system.
  • Follow the Hospitality Sequence to ensure guest satisfaction and address concerns promptly.
  • Exemplify Ling & Louie's Restaurants' Core Values and deliver signature hospitality.
• Order Fulfillment
  • Assemble and package food orders following restaurant standards.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously.
  • Maintain a clean and organized service area and dining room.
  • Ensure smooth food and beverage flow, staying informed of menu changes, VIP orders, and special requests. Cash Handling
  • Process guest payments accurately, including cash, credit, and debit transactions.
  • Manage cash responsibly and report any discrepancies to management.
• Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
  • Assist with restocking supplies and maintaining operational readiness.
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and health guidelines and standards.
  • Uphold Ling & Louie's standards and procedures in daily duties.
• Guest Engagement
  • Build lasting relationships with guests to encourage repeat visits and loyalty.
  • Promote daily specials, events, and restaurant promotions to enhance the guest dining experience.
  • Maintain comprehensive menu knowledge and provide personalized recommendations.
  • Meet and exceed established key performance indicators (KPIs) for guest satisfaction, sales, and overall service performance.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in customer service or food service role preferred but not required.
• Excellent people and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Outgoing, energetic personality with a positive attitude.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to work varying shifts and maintain attendance in accordance with Company policy.
• Ability to learn and demonstrate menu knowledge, including food and beverage preparation, and wine and beer descriptions.
• Ability to learn and operate a keyboard and POS system.
• Ability to pay attention to detail in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks and have a high level of patience.
• Ability to lift, handle and carry trays, smallwares and equipment weighing up to 35 pounds.
