Full Time Director of Rehab (DOR) PT, OT, or SLPLocation: Near Spearfish, South DakotaEmployer Partnered With: Connected Health Care (Recruitment + Staffing Firm) Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm, is partnering with a respected healthcare provider near Spearfish, SD to hire an experienced Full Time Director of Rehabilitation (DOR). This leadership role is ideal for a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech-Language Pathologist with a strong background in rehab management and a passion for clinical excellence.Position Overview The Director of Rehab is responsible for overseeing all rehabilitation services, ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, staff development, and operational success. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring clinical expertise and proven management experience.Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage the rehabilitation therapy team*
- Oversee daily operations of the rehab department*
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations*
- Develop and implement clinical programs and performance improvement initiatives*
- Manage productivity, staffing, scheduling, and budgeting*
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes*
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure quality assurance standards*
- Support staff development, training, and retention efforts
- Licensed Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech-Language Pathologist*
- Active and unrestricted South Dakota license or ability to obtain*
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership or rehab management experience*
- Strong knowledge of rehab operations, compliance, and productivity standards*
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills*
- Experience in skilled nursing or post-acute care preferred
- Degree from an accredited PT, OT, or SLP program*
- Current state licensure in respective discipline*
- CPR certification or ability to obtain
