- Perform routine and complex laboratory testing in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, blood bank, and urinalysis*
- Analyze patient specimens while ensuring accuracy and quality throughout the testing process*
- Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instrumentation*
- Review and verify laboratory test results before reporting*
- Follow quality assurance and quality control procedures to maintain laboratory excellence*
- Adhere to all laboratory safety standards, infection control policies, and regulatory guidelines*
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records*
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding laboratory findings*
- Assist with inventory management and laboratory supply organization*
- Support continuous process improvement initiatives within the laboratory
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related laboratory science field*
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) program*
- ASCP, AMT, or equivalent national certification preferred or eligible, as required by employer*
- Oregon laboratory licensure, if applicable*
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, instrumentation, and quality control practices*
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills*
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical laboratory environment*
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
