- Perform a wide variety of laboratory tests across multiple departments including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, and urinalysis*
- Analyze and interpret laboratory test results to ensure accurate and timely reporting*
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment*
- Follow established laboratory protocols, safety standards, and quality control procedures*
- Verify specimen integrity and ensure proper specimen handling and processing*
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and treatment*
- Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and records in accordance with regulatory standards*
- Troubleshoot testing issues and assist with quality improvement initiatives*
- Participate in laboratory proficiency testing and compliance requirements*
- Provide excellent attention to detail while maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Bachelors Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related laboratory science field from an accredited program
- Current or eligible certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist through the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent certification body*
- Certification as MLS (ASCP), MT (ASCP), or CLS
- Previous experience working as a laboratory generalist in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting*
- Strong knowledge of hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and blood bank procedures*
- Experience operating automated laboratory analyzers and diagnostic equipment*
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills*
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
