Position Overview
The MRI Technologist will perform high-quality MRI procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compliance with imaging protocols. The ideal candidate will have strong technical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MRI scans according to physician orders and established imaging protocols*
- Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures*
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout examinations*
- Operate and maintain MRI imaging equipment*
- Accurately document imaging procedures and patient records*
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff to ensure quality patient care*
- Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines*
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment or imaging issues as needed*
- Maintain a clean and organized imaging department*
- Provide compassionate care and clear patient communication
Education & Certification Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program*
- ARRT Certification required (or equivalent)*
- MRI Certification preferred*
- Current BLS Certification required*
- Washington State licensure or eligibility preferred*
- Previous MRI experience preferred, but qualified candidates of varying experience levels are encouraged to apply
